Reflecting on my journey so far

Before blogging about reader two I wanted to summarise the course up until now and what I feel I have learned and what I need to improve on moving forward.

Overall I have found module 1 so far, insightful, intriguing and also a little overwhelming. The topics covered so far have been completely new to me, as I am sure they are for most new starters.  I found the group Skype see ion very helpful and also my one to one session with Paula. I spoke to Paula about how I was worried about my progress and how well I am doing. I felt like as the course is so open it is difficult to gain that reassurance that you are on the right path. I like how using blogs allows others to comment, and this sometimes can provide you with the reassurance needed and also helps with looking at other people's view and opinions.

I feel as though my understanding of Web 2.0 has improved and I also have a new way of looking at it from a professional point of view.

Moving onto reader 2, I am disappointed I have missed the Skype session (this is down to my own disorganisation, which has is one of the things I intend to improve upon going forward) however, reading Paula'so blog on the session and others blogs about starting reader will has helped a lot.

I am very much looking forward to moving on and hoping that I can continue up to grow as a learner.

  1. Hi Emily,
I think a lot of the time we get caught up worrying about not being good enough or if we are falling behind rather than concentrating on how much we have already achieved in a short space of time. All of the course so far has also been new for me so I also have felt a little overwhelmed at times. I think the more we progress the more we will all understand the course more, if anytime you are stuck feel free to message me and I will help where I can. We can also discuss modules and reflect and blog about it too and support each other.

  2. Hey Emily, I like your reflection on Part 1 - and how you outline what you feel you have gotten from it. I share your improvement with the use of Web 2.0 forums for professional use :) I think this is a great skill to have in our professional practice and will stand to us in the future.
This course feels like lessons for life rather than just for a course's sake.
